Choices cited as prohibited in the Proposed CD2 Expansion are from Recap Emails from the City of Dallas Planning and Urban Development Department.

The Neighborhood Committee considers some of your choices undesirable. You’ll be allowed to keep them, but the CD2 Expansion will make sure they never happen again:
- Non-contributing house style despite being built by Clifford D. Hutsell.Non-Contributing House Style: Ranch per Willis Winters, architectural historian and architect.
- Materials: The first story of the main buildings must be brick or stone or a combination of the two.
- Garages: Not Allowed in Wrap-Around and No Front-Facing Garages.
Be Aware: As a Ranch in the Draft Ordinance, you must adhere to Ranch Architectural Standards. In particular in Exhibit A (l) Architectural Standards for Ranch:
- Stories. Structures must b be either one story on the front facade.
- Additions. Tow-story additions are only allowed on the rear 50 percent of the main building.
- Porch supports or columns must be typical of the Ranch style.
And
5c) No fixed plate glass window may be wider than it is tall on the front facade.
The idea is that all Non-contributing homes will eventually be replaced by Contributing homes.
