Stucco: A Clifford Hutsell Preference,
Including the Home for his Mother.
A longtime realtor in Lakewood who attended that February 13 2023 meeting mentioned that he had worked with Hutsell’s daughter, Madeliene Boedecker, who often told the story:
Hutsell would have built with stucco had he been able to, but Dines & Kraft would not let him. If he could have, all the Hutsells would have been white stucco.

Despite Dines & Kraft’s restrictions, Clifford Hutsell built this stucco ranch home for his mother in 1946. It is also in the CD2 Expansion area.
